ACHIEVEMENTS for Calendar Years 2009-2011

 

2011 (January – June), Our Most Rewarding Achievement, Chicago, IL.  Our services included but were not limited to the following:

·         Interim Administrator x6-months.

·         Total Restructure of Existing Practice.

·         Closed a satellite office, including MRI facility.

·         Moved practice to a new location, including x-ray.

·         Revamped financials immediately, cut expenses $60,000 a month, and eliminated staff positions (6 positions) due to overstaffing, redistributed job duties, cross-trained employees.

·         Overhaul of coding/billing department – educated and trained staff on correct coding, effective appeals, how to handle denials, challenging insurance payers, E&M coding/documentation.

·         Educated and trained staff on more efficient and productive processes.

2010, New practice start-up for two-man orthopaedic group in Wisconsin.  Besides the general practice start-up necessities, we hired and trained all employees, set-up x-ray department, established policies and processes, created marketing/advertising and practice design logo, acted as administrator for the first three months and provided maintenance thereafter.  

Other additional new practice start-ups:

1.     2010, Two-man Orthopaedic Group, Los Angelis, CA.  Also acting interim administrator.

2.     2009, One-man Orthopaedic Private Practice, Houston, TX.  Also acting interim administrator.

3.     2009, Two-man Orthopaedic Group, Southern Florida.  Also acting interim administrator.

 

 

2010, Implemented proprietary tools and incorporated into EMR for a large Chicago area orthopaedic institute, consisting of over 90 physicians and over 20 locations throughout the Chicago area.  This large group covers every orthopaedic specialty and offers comprehensive diagnostic and rehabilitation services.

 

Other additional purchasers with implementation of proprietary tools:

2.     2011, 13-man Hospital Based Orthopaedic Group, Delaware.

3.     2010, Orthopaedic Group, Pikeville, KY

4.     2010, One-man Hospital-Based Neurologist, Wisconsin.  Implemented into EMR/EHR.

5.     2010, One-man Hospital-Based Urologist, Wisconsin.  Implemented into EMR/EHR.

6.     2009, Hospital-based General Surgeon, Wisconsin.  Implemented into EMR/EHR.

7.     2009, Hospital-based 3-man Interventional Cardiology Group, Wisconsin.

8.     2009, One-man Hospital-Based Spine Specialist, Wisconsin.  Implemented into EMR/EHR.

 

2011, Restructured clinic for a spine specialist in Lake Geneva, WI, including educating and training staff (staff development) on processes and policies for efficiency and higher productivity, implemented proprietary tools, documentation optimization, E&M coding and counseling on capturing all billable charges, and review on insurance payer contracts.

2.     2009, Large Orthopaedic Group, Minneapolis, MN. Also acting interim administrator.

 

2011, Surgical and E&M audits for a 4-Man Orthopaedic Group in the Milwaukee, WI, area.  Analyzed and reviewed documentation and corresponding CPT level billed.  Provided practice/physicians with summary including missed and/or incorrect procedures found during our audit that could have been billed or rebilled for additional reimbursement.

...2010, Helped transition in a new orthopaedic physician to an existing group, Wyoming.  A practice analysis was initiated to evaluate for available space, scheduling and staffing to accommodate the new physician.  Advised and helped create advertising and marketing, initiated insurance contracting, verbalized and educated staff on physician’s needs and expectations, and provided support to staff and physician times four weeks total.
